Sustainable Materials at PLANET
06.Feb.2026
Over the past few weeks, we have expanded our material library with a view to adding sustainable material innovators.
We were looking for suppliers with transparent circular strategies that focus on clear end-of-life plans and products that are recyclable or biodegradable. We were particularly interested in discovering new and unexpected sources of materials. The samples range from cotton-based acoustic solutions to surfaces made from coffee grounds, waste fibres, recycled textiles and post-consumer industrial waste.
Here's what we featured in today's mood board:
Kvadrat: circular tabletops made from recycled textiles
KAVA Surfaces: surfaces made from coffee grounds and organic waste fibres
Mater: furniture and materials created from diverse waste streams
IMPACT ACOUSTIC®: high-performance acoustic materials made from cotton cellulose
DELIUS Textiles / OceanSafe: biodegradable and recyclable textiles
Gierer Stein: Austrian terrazzo that we have been working with for a long time.
