Every story has a beginning. Ours began at TU Wien.

As part of the exhibition “HB2 Collection – Generation X to Z”, two projects that played an important role in the origins of PLANET architects will be presented on June 18 – some years before PLANET even existed.
The project “Fish House” (1995/96), led by visiting professors Richard Horden and Willi Froetscher, brought together Gerhard Abel, Birgitta Kunsch, Paul Linsbauer and Christopher Lottersberger for the first time. What started there evolved into a friendship and collaboration spanning almost 30 years – and ultimately into PLANET architects.
Also on display is “Hochhaus Wien Mitte”, a design project developed by Gerhard Abel together with Horst Zauner and Markus Hagenauer as part of the HB2 studio under Professor Helmut Richter.
Seeing these early projects presented at Technische Universität Wien is especially meaningful to us – particularly in the year we celebrate 25 years of PLANET architects.

We look forward to seeing familiar and new faces there. PLANET will be there.
