DYNATRACE R&D LAB at TORRE AGBAR

Five years after the opening of the Dynatrace office in the iconic Torre Glòries in Barcelona, the workspace was expanded: PLANET extended the existing concept across three floors, with the aim of creating even greater spatial flexibility. Existing spatial qualities were further developed and complemented by new functions that support new ways of working and collaborating.

A generous community kitchen with an adjoining lounge area creates space for exchange, informal encounters and after-work moments.

A flexible event space allows two different settings and can be easily adapted to different uses within moments.

Across all three floors, shades of blue and orange echo the colors of the sea, the horizon and the sunrise.

Work islands follow the rhythm of the architecture.

The office design responds to the circular geometry of the building and organizes the space according to the principles of activity-based working. While the inner core is dedicated to focused work, open work zones unfold towards the facade, encouraging exchange and collaboration.

Phone booths divide the open workspace and provide quiet areas for focused conversations.

Acoustic optimizations make them suitable for recording purposes.

Warm wooden elements introduce calm and natural warmth into the technologically driven environment, creating a unifying design language across all floors.

“Every area feels well thought out, and it’s amazing how naturally the space supports both focus and collaboration.”

— Maria C., Workplace Experience Team Captain

Murals and graphic elements add a layer of creative, urban energy to the office.

The adaptive spatial structure allows the space to easily transition from event mode to an informal play area.
