BETWEEN FOCUS AND EXCHANGE – THE NEW ELL OFFICE IN MUNICH GRÄFELFING
The new ELL office in Munich-Gräfelfing supports the company’s hybrid working model. An open-space concept combines flexible workstations with meeting rooms and phone booths. Complemented by generous lounge areas, it creates a balanced interplay between focused work and informal exchange.
SPATIAL IDENTITY ACROSS LOCATIONS
The design concept originally developed by PLANET for the ELL headquarters in Vienna is consistently continued in Munich, creating a cohesive and recognizable brand experience.
A conscious approach to existing resources shaped the project from the outset. All existing tabletops were reused and integrated into a new colour and material concept.
Combined with bespoke built-in elements, this resulted in a solution that is functional, economical and sustainable – tailored precisely to the needs of the team.
RETHINKING THE EXISTING
INDUSTRIAL MEETS ATMOSPHERE
The industrial character of the building is deliberately embraced: exposed ceilings, visible services and clean lines define the overall aesthetic. Warm materials such as wood, high-quality textiles and planting create a contrasting layer, resulting in a comfortable and inviting working environment.
FROM FOCUS TO EXCHANGE
Central shared areas such as lounges and meeting zones encourage interaction and strengthen collaboration. At the same time, technically well-equipped rooms and acoustically optimized retreat spaces ensure the level of concentration required for everyday work.
“Working with PLANET was an open and seamless experience
—always on time and within budget.
The result is an office we look forward to coming to every single day.”
- Marie Reimann - HR Generalist ELL
TRANSPARENCY & FLOW
Fluted glass subtly zones the space, providing privacy while introducing a sense of movement and dynamism – a recurring element throughout the office.
The result is a workplace that makes the ELL brand spatially tangible while responding to the demands of hybrid collaboration.
