What do we think about when we talk about work?

Factories, offices, machines, tools, managers, computers, energy, raw materials and people doing their work - all of this is visible. How and why, and with which feelings people do their work, what demands overtax them, what gives work, and what forces them to do it— all this often remains invisible. In the end, all of it affects us all.

Together with the curators, we have developed a design concept that encouraged visitors of the exhibition to discuss our future. To enable immersive spatial experiences, we worked with unusual media installations. At the beginning of the exhibition, visitors enter a darkroom where they listen to the story of a Congolese miner. Later, the visitor becomes part of a kinetic installation: a huge sliding curtain completely hides the environment and allows a deep immersion into an audio installation.

How and why, and with which feelings people do their work, what demands overtax them, what gives work, and what forces them to do it— all this often remains invisible.

In the end, all of it affects us all.
